The Balloon Goon installation was a fabrication project built for the Boston Architectural College to showcase during the Open Newbury event. The process ran from construction mock-ups through form and paneling modeling in Rhino/Grasshopper, to the final build.
The build
The inflatable was paneled from plastic sheet, with tracing patterns driven by a Grasshopper script and an airlock door for visitors to pass through.
